At its meeting on March 21, Mason’s Board of Visitors (BOV) approved summer term tuition rates, 2012-13 room and board rates, and a new degree program.
The BOV also approved suggested revisions to the Administrative/Professional Faculty Handbook.
The combined tuition and fee rates for summer 2012 reflect a 3.8 percent increase over current rates for all students. Tuition and fee rates for the 2012-13 academic year will be proposed at the BOV’s May meeting.
New room and board rates represent, on average, a 3.24 percent increase over current rates.
The BOV also approved in principal a new master of arts degree based in the School of Management that is intended to prepare recent graduates with nonbusiness majors for successful entry into business fields. Although the specific name of the degree has not yet been decided, it is expected to be offered for spring 2013.
