Founders Hall Dedicated

On March 8, Mason officially dedicated Founders Hall on the Arlington Campus.

David Petraeus, director of the Central Intelligence Agency, was the keynote speaker at the dedication. Other speakers were Mason President Alan Merten; Mary Hynes, chair of the Arlington County Board;  Edward Rhodes, dean of Mason’s  School of Public Policy; and Jacquelyn Antonson, a student in Mason’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution.

Founders Hall, which opened in January 2011, is a 256,000-square-foot facility that includes 35 classrooms, a library, a 300-seat auditorium, a large multipurpose space and outdoor plaza.

Established in 1979, the Arlington Campus — located in the Virginia Square area — is home to Mason’s School of Public Policy, School of Law and School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Graduate programs in business administration, public administration, nonprofit management and arts management are also based at the campus, as well as classes in economics, early childhood education, environmental science, history and health administration and policy.
