Biography

Ray Hong is an assistant professor at the Department of Information Sciences and Technology at George Mason University. He earned his PhD in Human-Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington. At Mason, he directs the Alignment lab (or 'A-lab') where the ultimate aim is to amplify people’s capability of interacting with machine learning (ML) and AI to derive better decisions and job performance on their professional tasks. His research domains include interactive data annotation, steerable deep neural networks, and human-AI collaboration.
