Biography
Dr. Angelina Harman is an Assistant professor in the School Nursing. Harman’s research interests are Childhood Obesity, Nutrition and Wellness in the Youth. During her Doctoral work she worked with elementary age students on a grant she received from NAPNAP teaching them healthy nutrition and execise based off the Choose my plate. She most recently recived a grant from Anthem and worked with a vulnerable group of teens using fitbits to track activity, sleep and then had weekly classes teaching them about healthy nutrition, mindfulness and the importance of sleep and activity on your overall well being.

"Implementing and evaluating 'Choose myplate.gov' in a rural school in West Virginia, kindergarten – 6th grade. Received for the DNP Capstone award. Funded by NAPNAP and Abott. 2012. $1,000.
"MAP Clinic Academic-Community Initiative: A Nutrition and Exercise Program for At-Risk Adolescents," Anthem. 2016. $6,000.
