Biography
As a doctorally prepared nurse with over 20 years of clinical nursing experience, Dr. Haas serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing as well as the RN-BSN and Practicing RN Population Health Coordinator. Through her doctoral work, Dr. Haas recognizing that current undergraduate nursing curriculum lacked knowledge and skills in public health and primary care which are essential to our shifting healthcare climate. To bridge this gap, Dr. Haas’ work focuses on integration of public health concepts and primary care competencies into existing didactic and clinical coursework. Dr. Haas has extensive knowledge in population health and has a special interest in underserved and vulnerable populations.
