Our guiding principle:
We pledge to support the health, safety, and well-being of the Mason community while fulfilling the university’s mission.
Mason COVID Safety Plan
The COVID Safety Plan (PDF) has been updated as of August 22, 2022.
Vaccinations and Boosters
Mason is strongly encouraging students, faculty, and staff to be fully vaccinated and obtain a booster shot as soon as they are able. You can get a vaccine and booster at Mason.
Testing
Mason offers free COVID surveillance testing for asymptomatic students, faculty, and staff. Mason also offers diagnostic testing for symptomatic students and employees. Visit Mason's COVID testing website for more information on testing, test site hours, and test procedures.
Mason COVID Health Check
Mason will continue to utilize the Mason COVID Health Check through the fall semester; however, the university community is no longer required to complete it daily.
Mason COVID Health Check is required to participate in diagnostic and surveillance testing and may be requested for participation in some university events. Faculty may also request that student complete Mason COVID Health Check prior to attending in person classes.
Reporting Positive Cases
Mason continues to monitor case counts in our region and on campus, but we need your help. If you test positive for COVID or are diagnosed with COVID, please report your illness through Mason COVID Health Check. Mason uses this information to identify possible outbreaks and make decisions about public health and safety precautions. Your report through Mason COVID Health Check is confidential and critical to helping Mason manage COVID within our community.
