A team of Mason employees researchers has secured a National Science Foundation (NSF) ADVANCE Catalyst grant to support increasing diversity among faculty within the university’s STEM programs

Recently graduated from George Mason School of Business, Daniel Logrono, BS ISOM ’20, didn’t wait to give back. Still fresh in his mind, Logrono’s memories as a student inspire him to serve as president of the Latino Alumni Chapter, and impact more students and alumni, encouraging them to remain Patriots for life.

Michael Hynes, BS Marketing ’03, is a supervisory special agent in the FBI, overseeing recruiting in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. With more than 100 different positions available at the Bureau, they benefit from a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Last month, the School of Business completed the Diversity and Inclusion Workshop Series to coincide with Celebrate Diversity Month. Jointly presented by the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the School of Business Alumni Chapter and the School of Business Office of Student Success and Academic Services, the series provided a judgment-free zone where participants could share experiences, ask questions, and learn from each other and from the moderators.

George Mason University’s School of Business is offering a new five-month Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer program, which began this month and is designed for executives who want to take a deep dive into DEI efforts within corporations.
