Patricia Tran became interested in health informatics while working as a nurse. She is now pursuing a Master of Health Informatics degree at Mason, where she obtained an internship with Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) over the summer to research how 5G-enabled technology can transform telehealth care.
Research Interests: Trustworthy computing environment, moving target defense, AI/ML security, smartphone security, software-defined networking, and software security.
Jim Jones has been a cyber security and digital forensics practitioner, researcher, and educator for over 25 years in industry, government, and academia.
Research Interests: Entrepreneurship and innovation, information security and assurance, cybersecurity.
As director of the first-of-its-kind BS in cyber-security engineering program at Mason, Peggy Brouse is passionate about building a new breed of cyber-security professional. As the nature of cyber threats has grown, the demand for timely response and effective action has built the groundwork for a discipline of anticipatory action and security design.
