George Mason University is among the top 10 most diverse and innovative public universities in the country, as well as top 10 in undergraduate cybersecurity, according to U.S. News & World Report’s “2023 Best Colleges List” rankings.

This summer, as a Summer Impact project, a group of Mason students designed and developed a pilot web-based archival application to organize documents relating to the victims of China’s Anti-“Rightist” Campaign in the 1950s.

Research Interests: System reliability, including the reliable operation of GPUs, nonconventional sensors, autonomous driving systems, and neural networks.

Incoming University Scholar Dayana Cespedes-Mendoza has been familiar with Mason for more than five years through her participation in Mason’s Early Identification Program (EIP) for first-generation college-bound students, which she joined as an eighth grader.

Some Northern Virginia families will have free laptops in time for classes this fall, thanks to an enterprising group of George Mason University information technology students.

Research Interests: Software and Systems Security, including software analysis and verification, vulnerability discovery, IoT security, mobile security, and software engineering.

Research Interests: Security assessment of wireless network protocols, threat modeling and counter-mechanism design, cross-technology spectrum sharing, dynamic spectrum access, and vehicle-to-vehicle communications.
