Joshua Fleck has over a decade of experience in higher education handling budget, finance, HR, and procurement using sponsored and non-sponsored funds. Prior to joining the College of Health and Human Services in 2020, he worked at George Washington University handling various portfolios in their Schools of Medicine, Public Health, Education, Arts & Sciences, and working for the Office of the President.
Dr. Matthew Hicks is a highly accomplished Technology and Security Officer with proven ability to lead successful corporate information security and technology operations and facilitate corporate growth through technology-business alignment. He has special expertise in cyber security, solution development, organizational excellence, program management, and process improvement.
Ms. Karen Brown is the Director for the Northern Virginia Area Health Education Center (AHEC) at George Mason. She has over a decade experience in community and public health, working for regional teen tobacco prevention programs in eastern North Carolina, in addition to her years as a program coordinator and director with Texas AHEC.
Ms. Lisa Climer is Assistant Director of Field Education in the Department of Social Work. In this capacity, she advises graduate and undergraduate students entering practicum, teaches field seminar courses, and collaborates with community agencies and faculty to support and develop field placements and partnerships.
Ms. Thompson oversees the marketing and communications strategy for the College with particular focus on branding, strategic messaging, and engagement strategy as CHHS transitions to a college of public health.
Katherine Cornejo joined George Mason University’s Social Work Faculty as the Child Welfare Stipend Program Coordinator in April, 2017.
Jennifer Sawyer has been with George Mason University since 2017 as the Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator in the Office of Student Affairs.
Ms. Kelly Beckwith is the Assistant Director of Academic Programs for the Department of Global and Community Health. Beckwith is passionate about making sure all graduate students have an excellent experience from their time as a prospective student through (and beyond) graduation. Before coming to Mason, Beckwith was a public health practitioner in the field of school health.
